Sticker sheets: keep the backing and store them flat

A partly used sticker sheet can still hold plenty of useful stickers. The problem is often that it sits bent under other objects, or a loose sticky section attaches itself to nearby paper. Arrange one collection of sheets by keeping their backing and making a flat home. The child does not have to use up stickers to put them in order.
Look at sheets without peeling anything
Put the sheets face up on a clean, dry surface. Hold their edges or backing paper. Avoid peeling a sticker just to check whether it still works. A piece that has already come off completely stays separate and follows the arrangement the child has agreed with an adult.
Separate empty backing paper from sheets still containing stickers. The child can check each row before an empty sheet is removed through your usual household routine. Some sheets have tiny pictures that are easily overlooked.
Put partly used sheets at the front
Place sheets with only a few stickers left first in the folder, where the child will see them next time. Full sheets can sit behind them. Use a folder or flat compartment you already have and keep sheets within its edges.
A large sheet that does not fit gets its own flat home. Do not cut or fold it simply to fit the format without the child's agreement. If there are different sticker types, a simple contents note can identify the picture groups without adding packaging to every sheet.
Iben finds three nearly full animal sheets and two sheets with just a few stars left. The star sheets go at the front. She opens the folder, sees both star sheets and draws one out by its edge. No stickers come away from the neighbouring page.
When something starts sticking
Stop pulling and allow the child or an adult to separate the sheets using your agreed method. Do not tear the whole pile apart. Move the affected section to a clear review place so the rest of the folder can still be used.
Finished means sheets inside the folder edges, visible remaining stickers and loose sticky pieces accounted for. “Gather the sticker sheets” in Kroni can finish with one gentle removal and return, without using a single sticker.
